17 week pregnant: Acute centralized pain on lower left side

I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and for about a week I have been experiencing acute pain over my left ovary area. It is sensitive to the touch only there and if I cough, sneeze, move too quickly or oddly- I get a shooting pain located in that area.

I have in general been ignoring it but the pain is getting worse. It even hurts to bend down to sit. I called the doctor last week and she said that it was just the ligaments stretching- but why wouldn't it be on both sides? I have a history of fibroids and cysts. I also don't know if this would make any difference, but my urine has been very cloudy this week and someone told me that was a sign of infection.

Any advice on what this could be or should I give it more time. Thank you.
