The Indocin data is very clear and hasn't varied since the original paper published in the New England Journal of Medicine in '87 by Ken Moise. You CANNOT leave a pregnant patient on Indocin for longer than 72 hours without daily assessment of the fetal ductus and the amniotic fluid volume. I recently asked Ken what his response is when asked about cases that resulted in fetal damage because of patients being maintained on Indocin longer than 72 hours and not monitored appropriately. He stated that his current response is "just write the check". Nobody knows more about the effects of Indocin in pregnancy than this man... Lynn
