To any MD (Re:Wondering)From: AJ (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 18 Oct 2000 12:54:35 -0500 (CDT)
I have recounted all the dates and here is the exact scenario. I became pregnant on April 28,2000. I found this out on May 24th, which put me at 3 weeks pregnant. I had sex a few times during May and the last time was on May 26th. I decided to have an abortion which was performed on June 1. I found out the second week of July that I was pregnant again. Based on the ultrasound the doctor has put the gestational age of the baby at the end of May, prior to the abortion. Would the abortion had not taken care of that? I am hoping that the gestational age is wrong and I just have a bigger than normal baby. I did have sex a couple of weeks after the abortion. I have read about superfecundation and I know it is possible to ovulate twice and get pregnant again, but I dont see how the abortion would not have gotten both eggs. Thank You for any info you can provide.
