Hi
I think this is common practice - I had a similar experience and ended up
with a c-section when the labor did not progress. I think they should tell
you that mag stops contractions.. I had no idea at the time, I know others
on a list for PE that I am a member of, who also experienced the same. If
it makes you feel any better, I had the gel and it didnt make a bit of
difference.
