What exactly is a clomid challenge?

What is a doctor looking for when they do a clomid challenge? I've conceived twice recently, once on 50 mg clomid, the other time on my own. Unfortunately, both pregnancies ended in very early miscarriages. My doctor is looking at immune system & chromosomal problems, but she is also doing a "clomid challenge". She had me come in on Day 3 for bloodwork (FSH was 4, estradiol was 19, take 100 mg clomid days 5-9, and repeated the bloodwork on Day 10. I haven't gotten the Day 10 results yet and I'm a little anxious about it. Usually the nurse will call with the results. This time, I called their office after not hearing from them for several days. They told me that I need to wait for the doctor to talk to me. What exactly would she be looking for?

Any help would be appreciated.
