Problems with menses and ovaries. Will ins. cover? From: Cheddar (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 17 Oct 2000 18:48:34 -0500 (CDT)
Hi! I have several symtoms that I am concerned and confused about. Maybe someone can tell me what it can possibly be a signal of. To start with, my periods have not been regular ever since they started 12 years ago (I am 26 now). Anything between 23 to 45 days. Now I am late as never before - my last menses were on Aud 4, today is Oct 18. I did home pregnancy test two days ago, but it was negative. I do have breast and nipple tenderness (just as every cycle), and experience some cramping. Yesterday when having intercourse, I felt pain down on the right side. It did happen before. Several years ago I did ultrasound. It showed my right ovary was slightly larger than the left one (I can feel it and see if I push my tummy up), and my uterus is a little off to the side, not straight up. (asked my husband, he says he can not feel it) So anyway, all this is quite bothering. We are self-employed, and can not afford insurance. There is something wrong with me and I wonder if such thing as hormonal disbalance or cyst will be considered as pre-existing condition. (I have no med. record in the US so far) Any advice will be much appreciated. Thank you.
