I have a couple of questions. On Wednesday night they are inducing my labor at 38 weeks. I have PIH and that is the main reason. They are doing the induction with a combo of a Foley balloon catheter and pitocin. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the Foley induction procedure and if it is painful or not. Also another quick question at yesterdays appt at 37 wk 0 days they baby measured 31 weeks. Is this normal or a bad sign or just an indication that I will have a small baby? I have had a UTI for 13 weeks and a yeast infection for 5 weeks and neither will go away with treatment. They stopped my labor 8 times with trebutaline and the contractions have been continuous for 8 weeks with no change to my cervix. Please answer as soon as possible. I am kinda nervous as none of my friends have had the foley induction done and I am scared that it is going to hurt. They are doing it at 10 at night and giving me a sleeping pill to let me rest. Also will the foley shorten the labor??? Thank you in advance.
