33 weeks - stomach bugFrom: Tanya (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 13 Oct 2000 10:25:57 -0500 (CDT)
I'm tarvelling on buisines in the US from Canada and have come down with some type of stomach bug. Anything I eat goes right through me immediatley (about 48 hours now). No fever. Went to the hospital where they gave me saline to make sure I don't get too dehydrated and took blood & urine tests that both came back okay. Told me to stick to liquids (ie gatorade, ect) for now. The doctor focussed on me - but I'm more worried about how this might impact the baby. The baby is still moving and I did ask to hear the heartbeat which teh technician said sounded strong. Should I be worried? What are the possible (fetal)consequences of the flu or of a bacterial infection? Thanks for your help. I'm really worried - if I feel this bad, how must the baby feel?
