(Attn. Dr. Braun) One Tube....From: lizzy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 13 Oct 2000 08:42:07 -0500 (CDT)
I thank you so much for your time!!! First, I don't know the type. It was not CA but the type it was often is. I skimmed through the operative report, intresting for a nursing student, and it said that the exposed side was shiny.(Unfortunately, this is how I learned most of the details. My Dr. has'nt been too helpful with educating me about preceedures, future options and what to do from here.) To my knowledge, my levels have never been checked since the initial preg. test and I had pre-op blood tests done. None after the surgery, only two Dr. visits, 1st to look at stiches and 2nd palpatated pelvic exam. I will be calling him to find out about the name of the cyst. Do I need to be concerned about my levels being tested now(after a month)? I have another question. From what I found out about the incision usually made, it is vertical and closed with staples. Why? Mine is a "bikini" cut and closed with dissolving stiches.( My Dr. started the incision and then had to make it bigger to get the cyst out. my scar is from hip bone to hip bone. I am 26 and very petite, 95lbs. 5'2. Does my stature have to do with the the way the incision was made? How long untill the stiches inside are gone?
-- Thank you for your time and help,again--------Lizzy
