Need some help. My significant other is getting ready to go for her 13 week appt and get an ultra sound and something called coreonic phillisampling?, and we may need to do amniocentesis at some point. She is 40 years old. Have the following questions?

At what month can an ultra sound determine the sex of the baby?

What is coreonic phillisamling and is it safe? What does it do for my significant other?

Do you recommend amniocentesis? What is it? Is it safe?
