Re: 25 days of bleeding US shows cyst -- more info

I have more information about my US. I have a cyst on my right ovary that is 3-4 cm. It is complex cystic and partially solid. My grandmother recently died of ovarian cancer, though she was 80 and I am 31. My OB believes that my bleeding for 26 days may be unrelated. He wants to do another US on day 10 of my next cycle for the cyst and he wants to do a hysteroscopy and D&C for the bleeding, to determine if there is a small polyp missed on US. I am inclined to wait for the results of the next US before making any decisions about the D&C. I still believe that the two are related or that all is related to my c-section from 9 months ago when all of this started. Could a cyst of this nature cause the abnormal bleeding. I hate to go through the hysteroscopy and D&C for nothing. Any thoughts?
