3 cm cervix cause for worry?From: leslie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 9 Oct 2000 11:00:41 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I am 35 yrs old, in excellent health, 1st pregnancy (24 weeks). Had cone biopsy for cervival dysplasia 10 yrs ago, and uterine septum resection in 12/99. My last u/s at 22 weeks showed my cervix length to be 3cm with no funneling, and my hi-risk OB is unconcerned about IC and feels that cerclage is not indicated. She has been doing internal exam every two weeks for the last 1.5 months and reports that cervix is tight and closed. I've read other posts here however, and it seems that 3cm length is not that great. Should I be pushing for other/additional tests? I work full time but stay off my feet as much as possible, is there anything else I should be doing? thank you for any help and suggestions!!
