Montgomery, MD: "Re: 2nd miscarriage" I am going through my second miscarriage, I know I will probably never know why I am miscarriying but I just wanted to ask a question. I heard a good heartbeat 2x this pregnancy. I was 15 weeks pregnant when I miscarried. I had worked 3, 12 hour days and went shopping all weekend, spotting turning red on Sat, brown again on sunday then miscarriage Monday. Earlier that week I had spotted light brown after intercourse, Sounds like incompetent cervix? Well I'm not so sure. My ob had put me on prometrium for the first trimester and I stopped taking it after week 12, could it be that my placenta never started making the progesterone to support the pregnancy??
