However, in saying that Dr McIntosh, can I please point out that I was
only in Labor for five hours from absolute start to finish with my first
child. My sister also was only in the hospital for 20 minutes and then
her son was born - neiter of us were hiding our pregnancies, or on
drugs, or being brave and putting up with the pain. So, I would say to
go to hospital as soon as you want to - they will send you home if
you're not ready.
