planned cerclage questions infections and bedrestFrom: Jo (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 30 Sep 2000 20:13:26 -0500 (CDT)
Hi- I was dx with incompetant cervix after delivering a set of twin 16 weeks gestation. I delivered a daughter 3 years ago uneventful however all pregnancies via invitro fertilization. My question are. I have tested postive for beta strep and not been treated but having a cerclage on Tuesday. My high risk ob not worried about beta strep and cerclage placement however I have always thought that infection and cerclage was not a good thing. Also, my doc doesnt recommend bedrest but from what I understand by reading and by networking 90+% of woman are either on full or modified bedrest. Thanks Jo
