Am I losing my baby?From: Shelley (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 29 Sep 2000 17:35:04 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, this is the third time I've been pregnant. I lost the first two babies at aproximatly 12 weeks. This pregnancy, the doctor has been monitoring my levels in my blood. Two weeks ago these levels (sorry, can't remember the fancy name) were at 69,000, last week they dropped to 67,000. The doctor's office called me in this morning and they have dropped this week to 62,000. I am really scared. He is sending me off on Monday to get an ultrasound, because we don't have one in our town, I must drive 2 hours to the nearest hospital that has the ultrasound equipment. He said that he's not too sure if we should be alarmed at this drop, but wants an ultrasound to make sure everything is alright. Can anyone give me some idea if my baby is dying? I have no cramping or bleeding, but I am at 11 weeks now and have almost made it past my last two miscarriages. Thanks for any advice.
