I just had an ultrasound at 29 weeks. The doctor saw some abnormal swelling in the brain and is concerned about ITP. What is the risk of brain damage due to swelling in the unborn? I am going for blood tests Monday to start diagnosis. Is this reversable? Is it possible that I have done something wrong during my pregnancy to cause this? Please help with any information. I am trying to educate myself. Is it treatable in the womb?
