Question regarding after delivery

I gave birth by emergency c-section 3 and a half weeks ago. I have 2 questions

1. I have been feeling hot flushes for the past few days....is this normal?

2. During pregnancy my BP fluctuated....in the few days after delivery it rose to 180/110 and the hospital gave me a tablet and then sent me home when it was 140/90. Last week I felt it was back up and went to my doc...it was 140/100. He put me on tablets and told me to come back in 2 weeks. I was wondering....is this normal after delivery? Should it go away itself within 6 weeks or so or am I destined to suffer from this forever (I know this is a possiblity regardless)
