Progesterone 0.6, no other symptomsFrom: Alison (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 26 Sep 2000 13:43:42 -0500 (CDT)
I am at a loss. At 17 days post ovulation my hCG was 537 and my progesterone was 19.45. I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks 6 days and we could see the fetal pole, yolk sac & heart beat of 123. At that time we did another progesterone check and that just came back at 0.6! They have started me on 400 mg vaginal suppositories 4x/day. I have no other symptoms, no cramping, no spotting. Still have the tender breasts and the sick stomache and all. I do have a yet-to-be-identified endocrine disorder that has tweaked my lactation, sodium levels, cortisol, blood pressure & heart rate. (for some reason the endocrinologist is putting all testing on hold ;-)) I am hoping that it is the underlying endocrine disorder causing my progesterone to go in the basement rather than a non-viable embryo. Is it possible to lose the pregnancy and not have any symptoms? Plus the progesterone level of 0.6 was taken on a Thursday and because of the weekend I wasn't notified and started on progesterone suppositories until the following Monday. What can I realistically expect here? Thanks so much, Alison
