Re: Clomid and Fertility DrugsFrom: Melissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 25 Sep 2000 13:00:22 -0500 (CDT)
Emma, Usually the OB/Gyn writes the prescription for clomid. You need to be monitored during/ after the cycle to check for possible large cysts on the ovaries. Sometimes they happen and you need to take a month off of the medications. If you end up needing something more than Clomid I really suggest you see a reproductive endocrinologist. They are the infertility specialists and are in the business to help you get pregnant. Do you know you are not ovulating? There are lots of factors that can affect fertiliy. Good luck to you. Don't be afraid to suggest the meds to your doctor. He may want to do some testing to confirm that you are not ovulating. It would also be helpful to have your husband/partner to have a semen analysis. Good luck.
