A couple of bbt questionsFrom: Marie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 19 Sep 2000 14:41:15 -0500 (CDT)
I know this topic is covered a lot, but I couldn't find any answers in the archives nor in the "Taking Charge" book. So...if you can stand a couple of more bbt questions: 1. Is it more important to take your temp at the same hour every day, or after the same number of hours of sleep. For example: During the week I go to bed a midnight and take my temp at 7 am the next morning. But, on the weekend I may not go to bed until 2 a.m. Should I take my temp at 7 am or at 9 am the next day? 2. How much does alcohol consumption effect bbt? If I have a couple of beers the night before, can I expect to see a tenth of a rise or a half degree rise? Why does alcohol effect your temp anyway? 3. Finally, does just being wakeful cause your bbt to rise? Sometimes I wake up an hour before the alarm and kind of doze in a light sleep. Thanks for all your help. I'm finding this charting business a bit confusing!
