If you've made it to 28 weeks, it's do-able. A cerclage may be helpful to reduce the chance of preterm labor as well. As far as medications to stop labor, there is controversy as to whether or not they work AND if they do, how well. The rate of preterm deliveries has not changed in the last 25 years, despite new medications. HSM
