17w5d cramping and blood in urine...what could this be besides bladder or UTI infection? From: Crystal (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 14 Sep 2000 16:56:05 -0500 (CDT)
I saw my Dr yesterday as I have been having cramps in my pelvic area (very similar to menstral cramps) for the past 36 hrs. He collected a urine sample and it came back negative for infections. But they found some blood in my urine. I didn't know it until then, but at the last appt. 4 weeks prior to this one, there was also blood in my urine. My internal exam showed my cervix long and closed...and my Dr. said sometimes cramping like this is normal and women sometimes have blood in thier urine when they are pg without having a bladder infection or UTI. Does this sound right? Everyone I talk to thinks I have an infection and am risking it by waiting until next week to be seen again. Thanks for your help.
