I used depo for 2 years. My only side effects were the 5 to 8 pounds I gained and when it came time for my next shot I had my period. It was very very heavy and horrible pains. But as soon as I got my next shot it went away until next time. I thought it was very simple because the shot was free through my health department in my town. But know 3 years later I can't get pregnant and am worried depo ruined my ovaries or something. Does it make you infertile? Because I am scared! Lisa2874@yahoo.com
