Re: Leaking some kind of fluid at 30 wks???

Is the fluid clear and watery or a little thicker like mucus? Did they test the fluid to determine if it was amniotic or just make the determination from ultrasound? Was the possibility of urine leakage mentioned at all?

If you're still concerned and continue to experience the constant leaking (and are fairly sure it isn't simply urinary incontinence, although it's tough to tell!), you may want to make a personal office visit to your OB and let him know you're concerned. I wouldn't consider a constant trickling of fluid at 30w "normal" personally. Before I went into preterm labor, I was leaking clear fluid very slightly for about 3 days and an u/s showed the amniotic fluid to be "in tact" - it wasn't until 3 days later that a nurse at the hospital decided to test it and sure enough, it was amniotic fluid. I don't want to needlessly alarm you, but if it continues and you remain concerned, you might feel better after making another call.

Best of luck to you!
