gardenerella vaginitis

At 11 weeks pregnant I was diagnosed with gardenerella vaginitis, and told that I would be treated for the condition at my next OB appt. (16 weeks) That treating it now would just cause nausea and it doesn't need to be treated now, but that it does eventually because it can cause pre-term labor. Of course I am slightly worried waiting. Is waiting ok? PS I don't have any physical symptoms, no discharge or foul smell. Thank You. Bliss
