If your last pregnancy was 6 months ago, chances are that the line indicates pregnancy, since HTPs are designed to detect the presence of hCG. There are very few instances of false positives with HPTs, but they're rare unless hCG has been administered in a fertility workup of some sort.

If you're experiencing similar pain to your previous ectopic pregnancy, by all means, see your OBGYN immediately to rule it out - immediate treatment can be crucial to your health.
