Best days to ttc??

(1) is taking clomid really necessary? (or should i just ttc around Day 28/29 which my BBTs indicated a rise in temp) Also, a progesterone test done a week after Day 28 indicated I actually did "O" last cycle.

(2) will i have problems in ttc just b/c I 'O' later in my cycle? (my lutuel phase seems to be around 12 days)

(3) without any knowledge of hubby's history, is it better to ttc every other day or everyday? what day best to start if O occurs on Day 28/29?

I am hesistant in taking any drugs but have been off b/c for a year but did not really start to time "O" in ttc until past few months. (still age under 35 but getting concerned) Any advice? thanks much!
