ketonesFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 14 Aug 2000 21:47:04 -0500 (CDT)
I have heard mixed reports about what causes ketones in your urine. I know that they are a by-product of your body breaking down fat/protein for energy which is caused by either not getting enough food or having too high of blood sugar. My question: does being dehydrated cause you to have ketones or is it just not eating enough? If dehydration does cause it, how does it work?
