If it makes you feel any better I know for a fact you can get pregnant after depo because I am now 38 almost 39 weeks pregnant. I was on it for 2 years if not a little bit more. It only took me from September 21 (when my shot was due) to November 29th. I have heard that some it takes longer. Have you talked to an OB because after a year of trying they will try to help it usually. Good luck it can happen off of depo I promise, my periods were also very irregular at the time of conception.
