engagementFrom: Paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 7 Aug 2000 08:09:56 -0500 (CDT)
I am currently at 37 weeks (2nd child, first was stillborn at 20 weeks), and I have not "dropped". I understand that engagement usually occurs 2-4 weeks before delivery. Aside from being uncomfortable, I am ready for this baby to be here! Does the fact that I have not dropped mean she will come late? Is it possible for the baby to drop and labor to begin sooner than 2 weeks? Incidentally, I have very few Braxton Hicks, too. Does this mean I am more likely to have a c-section? Is there anything I can do to hasten this process? (I guess the answer to that one is "no", but I am hoping!) Thanks for all your help! Paula
