Birthcontrol,Can a parent force a minor child to use it???From: Anita (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 7 Aug 2000 05:46:12 -0500 (CDT)
Hello. My daughter, is 16 years old, and my worst nightmare has arrived. My daughter's boyfriend went to jail, and the boys mother came to me and said that her son said, that my daughter is pregnant by him. I asked my daughter if this was true and she said " I think i am". Unfortunalty i never kept track of my daughters periods because, i never felt i had a reason to, and if she need'd any sanitary napkins, i'd just go and get them for her. My daughter said, she thinks she's pregnant, what do i do? God in heaven, i'm so scared for her, this isnt what i wanted for her. She's just A BABY herself. SHE said its been more than a month since her last period, but for the life of me, i think its only been around 3 weeks... so, how soon can i buy a pregnancy kit, or is that advisable? and is there anything else i should be doing at this point? If my daughter is not pregnant, i want to put her on the implant, but she said NO, considering she's a MINOR, can i force her to get the implant or the depro provera injection, considering i am her mother and she is a minor??? I'd really be interested in hearing what you have to say, regarding all this. I love my daughter, and i want whats BEST for her. Thank-you and have a wonderful day.
