In my experience I have always seen my doctor after a positive hpt for a
blood test (bhcg) to confirm my pregnancy. After that, the first
prenatal visit is usually between week 8 and 10. With my first
pregnancy, I found it really difficult to believe the hpt... so the
confirmation was of great help.
