I had a UTI at the beginning of my pregnancy and they prescribed a 3 day course of Macrobid. It did nothing for me. I ended up going back after the 3 days and they put me on a 7 day course of a more regularly prescribed antibiotic. (I can't remember what it was. Sorry!) That did the trick.
