sonogram resultsFrom: Renie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 30 Jul 2000 21:52:00 -0500 (CDT)
I went in as I thought my 11 wk to hear the baby's heartbeat and the doctor could not detect a heartbeat so she suggested a sonogram and the tech could not find a heartbeat so she informed the doctor and then doctor then wanted to perform a vaginal sonogram and she still could not find a heartbeat but the size of the baby she is showing it being 7 weeks. She asked if I could have been off from my dates and I am almost positive I wasn't. So they are going to check me in a week for a sonogram and for the baby's heartbeat and if one is not found then they are going to do a DNC. How do you know when it is too soon? I was told a internal sonogram could be detected the earliest at 8 wks. and 10 wks on the outside with the machine they use to detect the heartbeat. I would like to hear from anyone. Thanks! Renie
