How much fetal weight gain in last month?

I'm currently 36w5d pregnant with my second baby. An ultrasound done at 36w2d shows the baby to be approximately 7 lbs 15 oz. How accurate is that weight? It sounds a bit large to me for someone with nearly a month to go. Also, how much weight do babies "generally" gain during the last few weeks?

Some background relevant points: My first was 9 days late and weighed 8 lbs 10.5 oz; I have been diagnosed with GD this time around, but not the first.
