I currently use Proactive Solution >(most used ingredient is 2.5% benzoyl peroxide.)In the general warnings, >pregnancy indications do not occur, but in one booklet I read, in the >Q&A, they did not recommend it during pregnancy because it is a >"medication." Do you think it is OK? Would something else be safer to >use (besides nothing)? Benzoyl peroxide is Category C - basically either it causes harm in animals and/or there is no info in humans. May be safe, may not. Basically, insufficient data. FWIW, some antibiotics and other medications used routinely during pregnancy are Category C. Hope this helps rather than confuses further.
