Meredith, "throwing out a temp" doesn't mean anything other than just that...throwing it out on your chart. It doesn't (typically) effect when you're going to ovulate, just indicates that you got an aberrant temperature or two. What I would do is keep in mind that you had an unusual night's sleep last night, skip recording that temp in your chart, then draw a line from the previous temp to tomorrow's temp just so you don't get confused in interpreting your chart later (if you record the temp, you may have a hard time finding which day was "off."). Usually, aberrant temps come in the form of unusually *high* temps, but I supposed a restless night's sleep could do strange things to your basal body temp either way.

One thing to consider, since you know you're so close to ovulation, is the possibility of this low temperature indicating a "fall back rise" pattern. I have this pattern every month without fail...my temp will drop drastically right around the time I expect ovulation, then the next morning, I see the thermal shift rise, indicating that ovulation has occurred. With a temperature-dip-before-the-rise pattern, it is believed to occur on the day of ovulation. Even if you've never experienced this pattern before, it can happen at any time (and due to the increased estrogen levels lowering that temp). So it very well could be that you have ovulated or will be ovulating today...if you see a thermal shift above the coverline tomorrow morning, you'll know that this is most likely what happened, but until then, your guess is as good as anyone's! Pay attention to your other fertility signs over the next couple of days (CM, CP) and if you've covered your bases as far as intercourse with this scenario in mind, you've done what you're supposed to do and now what lies ahead is the waiting!

I hope that helps and best of luck to you!
