When not pregnant, I take 500 mg of Valtrex daily to prevent large herpes cold sores between my eyes and on my chin. It works wonders. Not long ago, I also tried the Denavir topical solution and found it worked also. I am now hearing that these could be safe during pregnancy, and I wondered if there had been any new studies on this. Is it only for really severe cases? Or could I use it on a breakout by breakout need? I am about 3 weeks pregnant.
