lower back pain & incompetent cervixFrom: Alicia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 25 Jul 2000 22:39:36 -0500 (CDT)
Hello. I'm in my 13th week and for a few days have had lower back pain. It comes and goes and feels much like the back pain I get before my period (a heavy feeling). The nurse at my doctor's office told me what to watch out for and to take Tylenol to alleviate pain. Should I demand to be checked for an incompetent cervix? I've had ultrasounds (7 weeks and 10 weeks) and a pelvic exam (11 weeks), and my doctor said everything looks normal and that my cervix was friable but closed. I hate to bug her, but my next appointment isn't until August 11. Thank you.
