Miscarriages, antibodies and mass confusionFrom: Alli (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 21 Jul 2000 23:52:47 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I'm a twenty seven years old and I have been trying to get pregnant for about two and a half years. During that time, I have been pregnant three times, the last pregnancy was in may-jun of 2000. All three pregnancies have ended in early miscarriages and this time I got fed up with my doctor not running any tests and made an appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist. I got the test results today from the nurse and I tested positive for some sort of antibodies. In the office, the doctor said that it is possible that my body my be fighting off my pregnancies, and that it can be treated. Can someone explain that kind of a problem? Is it a blood type thing? I am b positive. How did I get those antibodies? What can I do to get pregnant and stay that way? I can't find much on this on the medical websites. Any help would be appreciated.
