Unable to tolerate GTTFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 19 Jul 2000 17:34:48 -0500 (CDT)
I posted this message a few weeks ago, but never got a response. I hoping that someone can help me. I have atypical hyperemisis and cannot take the GTT because of my inability to keep food down. What are the implications for the baby? My doctors don't seem to be worried because I eat so little, gestational diabetes is the last of their concerns. My MFM doctor said that he wouldn't be concerned unless the baby is abnormally large on my next (30 week ultrasound) Is this a good standard? Is there any way to test for gestational diabetes without a GTT? Should I be worried?
