MedicationsFrom: AnnMarie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 18 Jul 2000 10:07:10 -0500 (CDT)
I just gave birth 3 weeks ago tomorrow, on Wednesday. Throughout pregnancy I took Claritin and decongestents. I was on Dura-Vent the first three months, then Entex PSE for the remainder. I am still taking these meds to prevent sinus infections. I am also breastfeeding (meds OK'd by OBGYN). If I am late taking the Entex PSE, I notice my baby's nose sounds stuffy. Is it possible that he became accustomed to getting the medication during pregnancy? Does he still get it in the breastmilk? My daughter developed allergies and started on medication when she was just a baby, a year of age or less. Isn't he too young to possibly develop an allergy? Thanks. AM
