symptoms of preterm laborFrom: Amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 17 Jul 2000 16:10:10 -0500 (CDT)
This is going to sound really weird. Right now I am believed to be about 26 weeks pregnant determined by an ultrasound. I had a period in Jan. but it wasn't a normal one and my last normal one was in November and I didn't have one in December. The ultrasounds showed the baby being little but I was wondering if I couldn't be ten weeks ahead of what they believe I am. I am 19 years old, over the last month and a half I have had bumps on my stomach, I was fairly big for being five months and my fundal heights were off. Now my stomach has dropped they is a large amount of pressure in my lower abdomen and alot of pain in my lower back and the doctor says I am having contractions. They come about 2 to an hour. I was dilated to 1 when I went in 3 weeks ago and have been having other problems. My sciatic nerve has been bothering me and I have had diarhea the last couple of weeks. I was under alot of stress in the month of December, consumed alot of alcohol on New Years, took medicines after a truck I was a passenger in flipped and had an MRI and wondered if maybe that wouldn't have made the baby smaller than it should have been?? I also am a small person any way being a little over 5'6" and weighing 98 pounds before I got pregnant. I have a slimy discharge but there is no blood in it and am having to go pee more often. Also I have waterish looking fluid coming out of my nipples now and two months ago a knot showed up in my armpit that the dr said looked like what you got when your milk came in. Is there any possible way that I could be the extra ten weeks ahead?
