Luteal Phase Defect?

I'm new here. I'll be starting TTC next month after a miscarriage in March. I'm 33yrs and have one daughter born 5/5/98. I've been charting this month, just to see when I ovulated.

I O'd on d17 and my cycle has been 28 days ever since the miscarriage. Is day 17 too late to O in a 28 day cycle? Does this show a luteal phase defect?

Prior to my first pregnancy, my doctor had prescribed progesterone suppositories and Clomid after looking at a couple of months charts. He didn't however explain why. I didn't fill the prescriptions and got pregnant the next month. When I went for my 1st appt. at 6 weeks, he told me to start using the suppositories. The pregnancy was successful.

When I became pregnant in February, I went to my 1st appt in March at 7 weeks, he didn't say anything about the progesterone. I had not been charting. I miscarried a few days later.
