Placenta question in twins

Hi everyone! Yesterday at my 15 week u/s my doctor said he saw what looked like one large placenta although he said it could be two fused together. He said that if it's one it could be identical twins. I have my first level II next Friday and I'm wondering if it's two or one if they can tell by this method? In addition, I have no twins in either of mine or my husband's families so I guess the chances of identical are higher. Also, can someone please tell me what to expect at this appointment? I'm sort of nervous since this is going to tell us how the babies look and I want them to be PERFECT! Lastly, if I quit my job before I have to go on state disability do you know if I will eligible if I wasn't working?

Thanks again! Josie
