She really needs to talk to her doctor. Not eating and getting dehydrated really increase her risks for problems with her pregnancy. (Dehydration can lead to preterm labor). Also, dehydration makes nausea and vomitting significantly worse. Often, once a woman gets I.V. fluids she feels so much better, she can keep food down. It's really important she call her doctor. (I have had problems with nausea and vomitting during my entire pregnancy--I'm now at 29 weeks, so I can testify to the benefits of I.Vs and the risks of dehydration.) Good Luck to her.
