Stacie,
I have been having trouble getting pregnant, and finally did after about
4 years. I have at least three fibroids, one intramural, all with
diameteres measuring in the cm's. I don't think it was the fibroid that
caused the infertility, but some hormonal imbalance and a reversed
visectomy my husband had. I have been advised by my doctor not to
remove the intramural fibroid until I've finished having all my
children, because they can bleed excessively, which may necessitate
removing the whole uterus. However, fibroids that are on stalks can be
removed. During pregnancy fibroids can grow, and can cause some
discomfort. I am now 6 months pregnant, and I have only had one bout of
pain in my pelvis because the fibroids were degenerating. However,
nothing since. Your fibroid sounds very small and in a safe location
(not inside your uterus).
I hope this helps, and good luck.
Gina.
