Bleeding since Sat AM D&C scheduled today, final questions...From: Ann (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 3 Jul 2000 06:43:03 -0500 (CDT)
Hi again. This weekend has been hard for me but I have the D&C scheduled this am. OB diagnosed missed abortion, but I think it's no longer "missed". I have been bleeding since Sat AM and since midnight last night it has been extremely clotty. This last time I went to the bathroom I passed a huge clot, which kinda looked to me as tho it could be the "empty" sac, looked kinda like a popped balloon. The clots were deep red almost maroonish but all other bleeding in the past 24 hrs has been bright red. The first 24 hrs it was red/pink/mucousy. Is a D&C still needed or have I pretty much passed it all already? How can I find out? Prior to passing the clots I had extreme cramping (to me anyway) and sever lower backache that hardly allowed me to rest comfortably in any position. Now it's seems to be settling back down into more period like cramps. How many days of bleeding is typical for a natural miscarriage?
