Antibody Screens in pregnancy-another questionFrom: chris (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 30 Jun 2000 00:10:15 -0500 (CDT)
Hi! If a woman types as RH Positive with a negative antibody screen after the first prenatal visit, is the antibody screen repeated later in pregnancy the way it would be in an RH Neg woman? When I was pregnant 20 years ago a second antibody screen was done at 6 months (I think). At that time they were not giving Rhogam during the pregnancy, at least not where I lived. Just curious. Thanks. Chris S.
